Mecklenburg scored an A-
on the Sunshine Review’s most recent assessment of its Internet presence, which was praised for its presentation of comprehensive budget information, disclosure of all meetings and agendas, information about elected officials and staff, building permits, tax information, public records, and more. Other than Wake County, no other county in North Carolina scored an A- or higher.
Sunshine Review is a non-profit organization dedicated to state and local government transparency.
