In FY 2011-2012, HUD awarded nearly $4.2 million for new and continuing CoC projects in Charlotte-Mecklenburg.
In November 2012, the Charlotte-Mecklenburg CoC requested more than $4 million for 13 renewal projects and four new projects including rapid rehousing, scattered site, expansion and planning dollars for coordinated intake. These funds are still pending while HUD completes its FY 2012-2013 review process.
In order to continue to receive CoC Program funds in future years, all CoC grant applicants and recipients will need to meet new CoC Program regulations. These regulations were established in July 2012 when the CoC Program Interim Rule was enacted to implement the new regulations and a new CoC planning process. As part of this process, the Interim Rule requires that the new administrative entity has the capacity to implement all the provisions of that rule and to be in full compliance no later than August 30, 2014.
The purpose of this announcement is to invite qualified applicants to serve the community in this capacity. If you are interested in this opportunity, you may request an application from the CoC via John Burns at email@example.com
. The applications are due by 5:00 p.m. on June 14, 2013. For more information on the Interim Rule and specific requirements for the administrative entity visit https://www.onecpd.info/resource/2033/hearth-coc-program-interim-rule/.
