The warming center established at the Mecklenburg County Homeless Resource Center closed today at noon.

Over the past two days, the American Red Cross in cooperation with several local partner agencies provided a temporary warming center due to the winter storm.
During this period of operation the warming station served over 250 people providing food, water and hot beverages in addition to relief from the freezing conditions.
