Smoking and Tobacco-Free Vote Highlights Packed Agenda for BOCC Tuesday Night
The Mecklenburg Board of County Commissioners will meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday and is expected to vote on proposed ordinances calling for smoke-free government grounds and tobacco-free parks.
Commissioners will also receive an update on Ebola preparedness and review the government facilities master plan.
State Health Department Confirms Passenger on Charlotte Flight Does NOT Have Ebola
On Friday, October 17, 2014 at Charlotte Douglas International Airport a passenger on a domestic US Airways flight arrived late this afternoon with a fever of approximately 100 degrees complaining of nausea and chills.

On Sept. 30, the Centers for Disease Control confirmed the first travel-associated case of Ebola to be diagnosed in the United States. There are no confirmed cases of Ebola in Mecklenburg County or in North Carolina.
