Rules and Regulations

All trail users, including bicyclists, joggers, walkers, people who use wheelchairs, skateboarders, and rollerbladers, should be respectful and aware of other users regardless of their mode of travel, speed, or level of skill. For your safety, please walk with a friend. Secure valuables in your locked vehicle.

Greenways are oriented along streams and through wetlands; some areas are subject to flooding, mud, and other slippery conditions.

The following are NOT permitted on greenways:

  • Selling, soliciting or exhibiting materials without a Park and Recreation Department issued permit
  • Consumption of alcoholic beverages unrestrained pets or pets on leashes over 6 feet in length
  • Operation of unauthorized motor vehicles
  • Pets in playground, picnic or athletic field areas
  • Damage of park property
  • Collection, removal, or disturbance of any natural or cultural object.
  • Parking in undesignated parking areas
  • Commercial or political signs
  • Trespassing after hours
  • Weapons and firearms
  • Golf practice
  • Swimming
  • Littering
  • Hunting

Greenways are always expanding as more land is acquired.
