Wesley Heights Greenway
Proposed Features:

Paved Greenway = 1 mile
This project is a partnership with NCDOT Rail and the Bicycle and Pedestrian Divisions

Wesley Heights Greenway will extend from Cedar Street through Cedar Yards, connect to the existing Irwin Creek and Wesley Heights Greenways and will terminate at Bruns Avenue in the Wesley Heights Neighborhood. A portion of the trail will parallel the NCDOT Rail line which is currently a stone screening pathway. The stone screenings will be removed for future rail improvements for the trolley service and a future commuter line to Gastonia. The proposed 10’ wide, paved greenway trail will be off-set from the rail line and separated by a planting strip and a fence or retaining wall.

This greenway will connect Seversville and Frazier Parks with improved pedestrian and bicycle circulation to Uptown Charlotte as a permanent part of the Mecklenburg County Greenway Program.
