Charlotte, NC— Two companies in the Textron Corporation, Jacobsen and E-Z-Go, have made important equipment donations to The First Tee of Charlotte Leaning Academy at Revolution Park Golf Course. The companies donated equipment worth more than $56,000 including a range ball picker cart, an all electric tee box mower, a greens mower, and a fairway mower.
The tee box mower is a new generation of electric maintenance equipment and supports the County’s Go Green Initiative. It is the first mower of its type at a golf course owned by the County. The equipment will be used to maintain facilities at the learning academy and the golf course. All the property is owned by Mecklenburg County Park and Recreation Department, which partners with The First Tee of Charlotte to provide the learning academy to teach golf to youth. Revolution Golf course is managed under contract by Ratcliffe Golf Services which is also a partner.
