Charlotte, NC – Mecklenburg County Park and Recreation Department invites children, ages 6-12, to join the Keeping Kids in Motion program, 9:30am-12noon, on four consecutive Saturdays, February 20-March 13, 2010 at Naomi Drenan Recreation Center, 750 Beal Street. This program is FREE to help kids get more physically active!
Each week children will participate in at least 60 minutes of physical activity and learn a healthy lesson in lifestyle or nutrition. As children participate in yoga, Zumba, tumbling, relay races, flag football, etc., their parents are invited to attend sessions on cooking, healthy menu ideas, injury prevention, and fitness tips. Parental participation is not required, except for registration.
Participation is limited to the first 75 youngsters to sign-up for each session. Parents may register their children at the start of each session.
