Charlotte, NC-- Mecklenburg County Park and Recreation Department offers Easter season activities for youngsters with egg hunts throughout the county. For activities below that require pre-registration, register at, click on Eparks and enter the Course Code # or call 311:
  • Egg Ed Hike: With Easter Bunny on the way, learn about eggs of local wildlife while hiking through the woods to find them. McDowell Nature Center, 15222 York Rd, Wed. Mar. 31, 10am-12pm, ages 6-8, $5, Pre-registration required, Course Code # 8740
  • Underwater Egg Hunt: Kids jump-in pool to hunt for eggs in shallow water. Admission includes swimming, egg hunt and picture with Easter Bunny. Children should bring a basket. Ray’s Splash Planet, 215 N. Sycamore St., Thurs. Apr. 1, 11am-6:30pm, ages 1-12, $10
