The workshop is Friday, Nov. 5, 2010, 10 a.m. – noon. All ages are welcome. Admission is $5 a person.

The meeting is scheduled for 6 p.m. on Monday, November 8, 2010 at the William R. Davie Conference Center.

Participants will have the opportunity to meet with representatives from more than 25 local non-profit and government organizations to get information on the many ways to get involved in the Charlotte community.

The Mecklenburg County Park and Recreation Department offers a wide variety of events and activities for Halloween and autumn. Events are offered for all members of the family and are sure to make for a scary good time.

The clinic is open to boys and girls ages 7-13 and cost $15 per person.

The tournament will feature some of the best amateur male and female boxers from North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, West Virginia, Georgia and Tennessee.

The “Amazing Race” is a fun-filled urban adventure where teams solve puzzles, figure out clues, find locations and complete challenges while discovering uptown Charlotte.
