Charlotte, NC- The Mecklenburg County Park and Recreation Department will host a community meeting to provide information and solicit feedback for the American Legion Memorial Stadium and the Grady Cole Center site master plan. The meeting is scheduled for Thursday, Nov. 17, 2011 at 6:30 p.m. at the Grady Cole Center, 310 N. Kings Drive.

A portion of the meeting will focus on the results of a structural assessment that was recently completed at the stadium. The County Park and Recreation Department is also soliciting feedback from facility users, stakeholders, neighbors and the general public to complete a site master plan. The stadium has been the site of 4th of July fireworks events, high school and collegiate football games, soccer and lacrosse games and most recently the 30th anniversary of the Carolina Lightnin’s American Soccer league championship reunion.

Parking for the event is available in the surface parking lots adjacent to the center and the Central Piedmont Community College (CPCC) Student Deck #3.
