St. Mary’s Chapel, a Mecklenburg County landmark, is undergoing structural and electrical repairs. The historic chapel has stood in its original location at 1129 E. Third St. in uptown Charlotte for nearly 120 years.

Mecklenburg County Park and Recreation Department invites girls, ages 6-11, to participate in a free Girls Softball Clinic at Revolution Park, 2425 Barringer Drive, Charlotte. The clinic is Feb. 9, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
