Charlotte Woodcarvers Showcase of Woodcarvings Returns to Marion Diehl on Feb. 22 and 23

Carve out some time to see some great wood carvings. The 31st annual Charlotte Woodcarvers Showcase of Woodcarvings returns to Marion Diehl Recreation Center, 2219 Tyvola Road on Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 22 & 23, 2014.
The family-friendly event is from noon.-4 p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Sunday.  Admission and parking are FREE. The theme for 2014 is Cartoon Caricatures.
The Showcase of Woodcarvings is the largest Woodcarving Show and Competition in the southeast. More than 125 carvers from 15 states will exhibit over 700 carvings in competition for cash awards of $1800. 
This event will include seminars, demonstrations, vendors for carving supplies and selling of carvings by nationally known carvers.  Tom Wolfe, a caricature carver, will host a carving competition each day of the show.
Last year, nearly 2,000 visitors attended the showcase.
