Meeting to Discuss Improvements to Bryant Park Set for May 20

The Park and Recreation Central Park Region Advisory Council will host a community meeting to solicit feedback on proposed improvements to Bryant Neighborhood Park, 1701 W. Morehead Street.

The meeting will take place on Monday, May 20, 2013. At 6 p.m., at the Mahlon Adams Pavilion, 2435 Cumberland Ave.

Bryant Park is approximately 15 acres and currently includes:
  • Softball field
  • Multipurpose field
  • The Park’s most prominent feature is a 1930’s era network of rubble stone and concrete retaining walls, steps and seating area terraced into the hillside overlooking a baseball and multipurpose field.
Potential Improvements include:

  •  Repair stone wall, shared parking lot with greenway, restrooms, water fountain
  •  Picnic Shelter, Playground, Landscaping, Multipurpose field lights, Volleyball-(lights), skate plaza
