Romare Bearden Park

Join Mecklenburg County Park and Recreation in celebrating the much anticipated grand opening of Romare Bearden Park, located on South Church Street in uptown Charlotte. The festivities begin Friday, August 30 and will continue throughout the Labor Day Weekend, just in time for what would be the internationally known artists' 102nd birthday. This birthday bash will feature various genres of art, music, dance and activities for all ages. The celebration will serve as a preview for the types of events the park will host year-round.
