Participants interested in submitting an entry should drop off their artwork at the Park and Recreation Administrative Office Building, 5841 Brookshire Blvd., during regular business hours (9 a.m. to 5 p.m.) through August 23.
Guidelines for Entering:
Entries will be judged in the following age categories:
- Submit two copies of the registration application
- Include a 3x5 index card with the artist name and the title of the piece
- Artwork should not exceed 36”x36” and must be ready to mount
- Toddler (ages 1-6)
- Preteen (ages 7-12)
- Teen (ages 13-18)
Prizes will be awarded to first, second and third place contestants in each category. In addition, a group photo will be taken of all of the winners which may be used for promotional purposes.
Artwork will be on display during the grand opening of Romare Bearden Park, which will take place Labor Day Weekend.
Artwork can be picked up from Park and Recreation between Sept. 5-16, 2013.
