
Paralympic Sport Metrolina held a Paralympic Experience on Saturday, November 12, 2011 at Marion Diehl Recreation Center. Paralympic cyclist Aaron Trent was in attendance.
The Paralympic Experience is a day-long celebration of Paralympic sport. The goal of the program is to show individuals with physical and visual disabilities how participation in sport and living a healthy, active lifestyle can have a profoundly positive impact on their lives.
Athletes had the opportunity to participate in a variety of Paralympic sports including:
• Archery
• Boccia
• Cycling & Tandem Cycling
• Goalball
• Kayak
• Sled Hockey
• Swimming
