Yard Waste Centers are co-located at the Full Service Recycling Centers. Mecklenburg County residents can bring their yard waste to the Full Service Recycling Centers and/or purchase compost and mulch at the Full Service Recycling Centers and Compost Central.

Bring us your Yard Waste
Residential, commercial and industrial yard waste generated in Charlotte, Cornelius, Davidson, Huntersville, Mint Hill, Pineville, Matthews, and unincorporated areas of Mecklenburg County may be brought to the County's yard waste facilities.

Hours of Operation:
Foxhole, Hickory Grove & North Mecklenburg
Monday - Saturday: 7am - 4pm

Compost Central
Monday - Friday: 7am - 5pm
Saturday - 7am - 4 pm

Acceptable Materials:
Leaves (unbagged please)
Brush (unbagged please)
Grass Clippings (unbagged please)
Clean pallets less than 5' in length
Limbs less than 5' in length
Bamboo less than 3' in length
NO paint, plastic or metal
NO tree stumps, roots, sod, or dirt
