Data Making a Difference: The 2017 BRFSS Survey

6/5/2017

phoneOver the next few weeks, Mecklenburg County Public Health will be conducting the Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System (BRFSS) telephone survey. This phone survey, which takes about 10 minutes to complete, randomly polls residents aged 18 and older to lean about their health behaviors. Your participation can directly influence health programs and policies for all County residents.

The BRFSS collects information on health risk behaviors and chronic health conditions - information that is critical to understanding the scope of certain issues like diabetes and heart disease.

BRFSS findings are used to evaluate public health programs, establish prevention strategies and drive communitywide policy, programming and campaigns to promote and improve the health of our county.
