Westmoreland Road (Cornelius) to Sam Furr Road (Huntersville)
Stream restoration is an important part of Storm Water Services' plans for the McDowell Watershed. A 7,500 foot reach of McDowell Creek from Westmoreland Road in Cornelius to Sam Furr Road in Huntersville is to be restored.
Mecklenburg County Park & Recreation also plans to create the Upper McDowell Creek Greenway along that segment of restored stream.
