Did you know there are over 3,000 miles of streams and 200 miles of lake shore line in Mecklenburg County? Charlotte-Mecklenburg Storm Water Services (CMSWS) is responsible for protecting and restoring this important resource. In order to better achieve this goal, we need the help of proactive volunteers, like you.
The Volunteer Water Quality Monitoring Program allows volunteers to monitor local streams in an effort to evaluate the stream’s health, flag problem areas for further investigation by CMSWS staff, and to compare data with other volunteer monitoring groups.
